Calling all naturalists! Learn to appreciate trees in their winter state by observing the various characteristics of twigs and branches. We will use keys and hand lenses to identify various species. This program will take place both inside and, weather permitting, outside and is led by local Naturalist Gary Lavallee.
Winter Tree Identification:
1. An explanation of tree twig features
2. Use of a hand lens
3. Use of an identification key
4. Examination of various tree species twigs (70 available)
(Optional field examination; a walk in the park.)
